We're getting married ❤︎

  • Our Story

Like many modern love stories, ours began with a swipe.

Heather had just moved to Seattle from Austin after graduating from the University of Texas, ready for a new chapter in the Pacific Northwest. Jesse, a Seattle native, had returned home about a year earlier after spending some time in California and was settling back into life in his hometown.

Somewhere in the digital world of dating apps, our paths crossed, and the rest is history.

For our first date, we met at Umi Sake House in Seattle. Over great food and even better conversation, it was clear there was an easy connection from the start. What was meant to be a simple dinner turned into hours of talking, laughing, and getting to know each other.

From that night on, Seattle became the backdrop for countless memories, adventures, and milestones together. What started as a swipe turned into something real — and now, it’s turned into forever.

  1. There’s no wedding ceremony!?

We’ve opted for a private ceremony at Seattle City Hall. We’re excited to join you all at the reception to celebrate!

  2. Where should we stay?

If you’d like to stay close to the venue during the weekend, we have a room block at Astra Hotel for a reduced rate of $279/night. To book your accommodations follow this link.

  3. Are children welcome?

We LOVE your children, but this is an adults-only reception.

  4. How should we get to the reception venue?

Parking at the venue is extremely limited. We strongly recommend uber/lyft. If you do choose to drive, there is some parking available on the surrounding streets near the venue.

  5. Can I bring a plus one?

Please see the RSVP card included in your invitation — the number of guests accounted for are included on the backside.

  6. What is the dress code?

Semi-formal to formal (no tuxedos!). See our “what to wear” page.

  7. Researching what to do during your trip?

We hand-picked our favorite spots to eat, drink, and explore: google map here!
